Large MVA on I87 August 28, 2006

This crash involved Multiple Agencies. It happened at MM 115 NB on I87 at approx 6:30 pm. 49 lives were saved with all receiving transport to 5 different hospitals in both NY and VT. 5 perished in the crash. The accident was investigated by the National Traffic Safety Board and the NYSP. There were over 16 agencies involved in this incident that took over 18 hours to clear the scene.
